Kleyn Auto has been privileged to offer full service, quality automotive repair since 2007. We began under the name of Kleyn Mobile Repair, but in 2019 we moved to our own building and became Kleyn Auto.
It’s important to us that we stay up to date on the latest tools and technology in order that we are better equipped to fully service all your automotive needs. We use only the highest quality parts at fair prices. All services are performed by our trained and certified technicians and backed by our North American Warranty.

History
Kleyn Mobile Repair opened its doors in the fall of 2007. What started as one man working out of his barn has grown to 27 employees, 3 shops and 3 mobile repair trucks.
Joe Kleyn is known and respected by many as a good, honest, hardworking mechanic. In 2009, when he outgrew the barn next to his family’s home, he moved the shop to three bays at 6550 Wilshere. Business continued to grow thanks to our loyal customers and in 2015 we built our current shop right next door at 6680 Wilshere Dr. In 2019, the automotive side of Kleyn Mobile moved across the street to 6549 Wilshere and began Kleyn Auto. We have been privileged and trusted to work on the firetrucks and emergency vehicles of many of our Michigan fire departments and in 2022 we opened the doors of the firetruck repair division at 2148 Center Industrial Ct.
Joe Kleyn was born and raised in Tasmania, Australia. He was one of thirteen siblings and learned at a young age how to work and help out on the family dairy farm. Tinkering with bikes, tractors, and then his own cars eventually led to an apprenticeship with CAT. He moved to the States with his family in 2001 and worked as a diesel and mobile mechanic. A family man, husband and father of five, he is dedicated to his family, employees and customers.
